6 ITEC STUDENTS ARE GRANTED OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIPS FROM KEUKA COLLEGE (USA)

Last November 2017, 6 students from the International Business program (Joint Bachelor of Science in Management program) was proud to be given scholarships to study abroad in Keuka College, USA for the Spring Semester 2018.
Those students are Pham Duc Tri, Mai Thuy Duyen, Do Minh Hao, Truong Minh Khoa, Ngo Gia Nhut, and Bui Huyen Tram. They are all from cycle 4 and this is their final study year in the program.
Previously in July 2017, Nguyen Huynh Lan Phuong was also awarded a scholarship to transfer to Keuka College, USA for the Fall Semester 2017.

The scholarship includes 100% tuition fee for the first semester and an opportunity of 50% discount in the following semesters until the student graduates from Keuka College. To gain the scholarship, students must attend an interview with the representative of Keuka College, USA. The purpose of the interview is to re-test applicants English skills, their learning motives and career orientation. Obtaining study results at ITEC is an advantage to persuade the Scholarship Council from Keuka College, USA.
One of the benefits of learning in the Joint Bachelor of Science in Management program between Ho Chi Minh University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh and Keuka College, is the flexible studying options for students. Students can choose between: finishing the program completely in Vietnam or transferring to Keuka College, USA at any moment from the 2nd year, with great opportunities of earning scholarships as mentioned above. Either way, students shall learn major courses with American professors, while also involving in Experiential Learning methodology and receiving the Bachelor Degree from Keuka College, USA.
ITEC STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE TERRY FOX RUN 2017

In the morning of November 5th, 2017, students from International Training and Education Center (ITEC) – Ho Chi Minh University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh had participated in the “Terry Fox Run Vietnam 2017” in Tan Trao, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
This year event, which attracted almost 20.000 citizens, had donated as much as 2 billion VND to support for the Cancer Research Project in Vietnam (according to the Tuoi Tre Online)
This is the annual event held by the Cancham, a voluntary business association dedicated to assisting companies and individuals doing business in Vietnam. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and donate money for the cancer research project in Vietnam.
ITEC STUDENTS HELD “SKIN HAPPINESS” SEMINAR

Last November 4th, The Youth - class of 14BSM2 from the Joint Bachelor of Science in Management program) had successfully held a workshop on skin care, called “SKIN HAPPINESS”. The seminar featured Ms. Le Kha - founder of Tea Skincare & Spa Center. The guest speaker was once a student of the program; she is now working at the Techcombank Group while pursuing her own business.
The purpose of this program was to provide information relating to skin care not only for teenagers but also for middle-aged people so that people know how to best take care of their face, nurture the youth and prevent aging throughout the time.

This program is part of the Experiential Learning course (FP401) taught by Professor Lynn Lannon from Keuka College, USA. This is considered as a series of graduation projects to help graduates of the Bachelor of Science in International Business majors apply their knowledge learned for nearly three and a half years at the school into implementing business modeling/ empirical business model chains. These activities help to build more effective soft skills for the future job after graduation.

On October 13rd, 2017, International Training and Education Center (ITEC) students had a social gathering on the opening of the new academic year 2017-2018 with the theme “Chat with ITEC”. This is the occasion for the students to share the opinions after 1 year of studying and get the latest information from the Office.

On October 2nd, 2017, International Training & Education Center (ITEC) held the Graduation Ceremony for 28 graduates from the Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences (BCIS) with a major in IT Service Science. This is the collaboration between Ho Chi Minh University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUS, VNUHCM), Vietnam and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand.
Unlike other years, this year we were thrilled to have the first female graduate in the IT Program. Dang Thi Thao My was also the graduate that had the highest academic achievement in the AUT University's IT International Joint Collaborative Programs in 2017.
On this occasion, ITEC gladly welcomed the representatives of cooperative universities, lecturers from all of the teaching faculties and attendances of 58 freshmen from both programs:
- Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences with a major in IT Service Science and
- Bachelor of Science in Management with a major in International Business.
Both programs are fully taught at HCMUS, students will study all the specialized subjects with the lecturers from both New Zealand and USA. The degrees will be offered to the students by the partner universities.
