ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT ACADEMIC 2020

The International Training & Education Center (ITEC), HCM University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) is enrolling students for the International Bachelor Program of Computer and Information Sciences AUT (for the three majors: Artificial Intelligence, Software Development & IT Service Science); and for the International Bachelor Program of Sciences in Management (majored in the International Business) for the academic year 2020 - 2021.
1. Program entry requirements:
- Graduation from high schools, preferably with high academic records in Mathematics and English of Grade 12.
- Successful completion of B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or an equivalent.
- Admission Process:
- From 2019 onwards, high school students who achieve a minimum of 600 score on the Entrance Examinations offered by Vietnam National University HCMC (https://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn/dgnl) are qualified to study in our programs.
- Candidates who do not achieve IELTS Bands 6.0 or an equivalent are required to participate in the English Placement test provided by the International Training & Education Center (ITEC), HCM University of Science, VNU-HCM.
- Direct admission:
All candidates who have successfully earned high school diplomas from International High schools with English as the language of instruction in Vietnam or overseas are eligible for direct admission into the program.
2. Enrollment target:
- 120 students for the program of Computer and Information Sciences AUT
- 80 students for the program of Science in Management
3. Duration: 4 years
4. Main Campus: HCM University of Science, 227 Nguyen Van Cu street, Ward 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
5. Program curriculum: Four-year Full- time study at HCM University of Science, VNU-HCM with the following schemes
- Compulsory and elective courses will be delivered by faculty members from the HCM University of Science and other members of VNUHCM system.
- Core courses (International Business major) will be delivered by faculty members from our partner universities (Keuka US and AUT New Zealand).
6. Application checklist:

- The Certified copy of High School Diploma
- The certified copy of High School Academic Transcript
- The certified copy of National High School Examination
- The certified copy of VNUHCM Academic Performance Test (if any)
- English Proficiency Test Certificate (if any)

KEUKA COLLEGE PRESIDENT’S VISIT TO HCM UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE, VIETNAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CAMPUS 2018

October 12, 2018, Keuka College (USA) faculties, led by Ms. Amy Storey - President and Mr. Mark James Petrie - Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Development visited and sat down with the representatives of the HCM University of Science, Vietnam National University and representatives of the ITEC programs. This was Ms. Amy Storey's first visit since she took over the position in mid-June 2018. Prior to that, she served as the Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs from 2012.
During this visit, President Amy Storey expressed her acknowledgment and deep gratitude for the companionship in developing the Keuka College’s International Business program between the two institutes from 2011 to date. Ms. Amy also expected the partnership to continue to flourish in the coming years so that more opportunities would be provided for Vietnamese students to experience the high-quality American education, learning and teaching methods directly from the US faculties at their home country.
With this in mind, in the meeting with the ITEC Executive Director, Keuka College’s Vice President - Mr. Mark James Petrie - also proposed to adjust and develop more strengths for the 2019 Bachelor Program in Management by adding to the curriculum a number of courses within Human Resource Management field - one of the areas that has been attracting the attention of many business students in Vietnam in recent years. Recognized as one of the top American universities in the field of general education, Mr. Mark James Petrie believed that the addition of new courses will help future managers to advance in human management skill, which in turn helps govern the business operations better.

With 8 enrollment courses, the Bachelor of Science Program in International Business Management has trained more than 500 students who were part of the international curriculum of the HCM University of Science. Throughout this program, students will manage to complete their courses within 3.5 years and earn a degree from Keuka College, USA. Annually, Keuka College offers scholarships worth 75% of the first tuition fee when transferring to the College’s headquarters in New York, USA to complete their degree.

On the evening of Monday, 01/10/2018, the 10th anniversary ceremony of cooperation between the International Training and Education Center, HCM University of Science, Vietnam National University and AUT University for the Bachelor Program in Computer Science (2008 - 2018) was held at the Equatorial Hotel (District 5.)
The ceremony was held in a formal yet very intimate atmosphere and witnessed by the representative of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam, representatives of two institutes, representatives of the HCM Vietnam National University and their partner schools, both domestic and foreign businesses, and especially the presence of nearly 100 alumni have studied the AUT program in Vietnam from the first term till now.
During the ceremony, Assoc. Prf. Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Vice President of the VNU-HCM, former Vice President of the HCM University of Science, who founded and implemented the associate program with AUT University in the early years, also shared feelings, challenges, and opportunities during the past 10 years when working with the strategic partner, AUT University. He also wished the two institutes would tightening up their friendship and cooperation, thereby supporting each other for long-term sustainable development as well as contributing to the training of many useful resources for society.
University of Science, VNU-HCM was proud of its efforts together with the AUT University to bring students an educational environment with positive effects of New Zealand education - one of the countries with top quality education. Up to date, the program has trained more than 700 students throughout 11th courses for the IT industry. The admission process takes consider upon high school transcripts and English efficiency.

Mr. Pham Duong Viet Quoc Hoang received a reward as a recognition of his high academic achievement.
Awards was also granted for the faculties from both institutes
who has been governing the program for developing the program for the past 10 years

AMAZING RACE 2018

Amazing Race is part of the extracurricular activity sequels hosted by the ITEC English Department in order to enhance English communication skills for students while create a fun playground for students after class.
On September 4th, 2018, 14 teams attended this year’s game and excellently overcame 3 challenge stations at the Bitexco commercial center, Nguyen Huy pedestrian, and the city’s post office.
Congratulations to students from Professor Joshua’s class for coming in number 1 place and becoming this year’s ultimate winner.
